Who I help:
I love working with people navigating postpartum and perimenopause transitions!
My goal is to help you move through these life stages feeling strong, supported, and confident. I use practical, longevity-focused strategies to ensure that whatever I recommend fits into real life.
I also work with dancers – from teens and pre-professionals to adults returning to movement – to build strength, control, and body awareness that supports performance and prevents injury. Pilates and Gyrotonic training were tools I wish I’d had earlier in my own dance career (it might have prevented some of my dance injuries and chronic hip issues…), and I love helping other dancers move with more balance, power, and longevity.
How I help:
Short answer…: I meet you where you’re at, every time. Each session is customized to your needs, with a sprinkle of education and meaningful at-home exercises to keep you progressing between visits.
Long answer…: As a Therapeutic Pilates instructor, my role is to help you feel and move better through tailored, intentional sessions. I take a full-body approach – informed by an osteopathic lens – that considers how all body systems work together, not just the muscles and joints. Quick, accessible home exercises help integrate your progress into daily life, so the benefits continue beyond the studio.
My teaching style is positive, nurturing, and focused. I want every client to feel supported, understood, and confident in their ability to move well – for life.
Stuff I never shut-up about:
I’m a bit of an anatomy nerd (case in point: when people ask what shows I watch, my answer is usually, ‘YouTube anatomy and physiology videos’).
Pilates is meant to complement what you love, not replace it! Whether you hike, golf, dance, or play sports, Pilates helps you move with more awareness, control, and strength so you can keep doing the things that make you feel alive. It’s not the only modality you need, but it’s a powerful one to have in your corner.
A big part of my teaching focuses on breathing – especially the relationship between the respiratory and pelvic diaphragms. When these systems work together, the rest of the body can function more efficiently. I talk about 360-degree breath probably more than one person should, but that connection is the foundation for healthy movement, stability, and performance.
Outside of the clinic:
I love trying new noodle restaurants and bakeries. Lucky for me, there seems to be a few in the Mission area! My new hobby aspirations post-osteopathy school: golfing and photography. I love visiting the west coast – Victoria because there’s the ocean without a big-city vibe.
